![]() ![]() ![]() As an aside, I think synthetic nic mutes flavors and throat hit. I feel like the nicotine might be tobacco-free, although it’s not stated in the marketing materials. Surprisingly, with the standard 5% nicotine, the throat hit in the Max Air 5000 is on the moderate side. There’s almost no ramp-up time, which brings the flavor on almost immediately. The Max Air 5000 houses a mesh coil that hits warm and quick-a feature of mesh coils. Just taking an MTL draw is basically quiet, with only a slight airflow hiss and crackle from the coil. It’s not obnoxiously loud like a sub ohm tank, but it’s not silent either. The harder you draw, the louder the vape gets. But as mentioned, for most, this might be best considered to be an MTL draw after factoring in the high nicotine. I want minimal air for a proper MTL draw, but it’s nice to be able to pull a little harder and get a bigger restricted lung hit. The more I use it, the more I like the draw and hit. The front and back faces have a smooth matte surface, which would be slippery otherwise. The rubber edges simply make the device easier to grip. ![]() And the rubber is a nice departure from the hard plastic of disposables (or metal drip tips from back in the day). The tip is flat, which is a nice form to draw from. What I like most about the form factor and design is the rubber (the mouthpiece and the contours). It measures 67 mm x 49 mm x 23 mm (not including the tip). The Max Air 5000 has a slightly bigger frame than the likes of the Elf Bar 5000 series but not by enough to be a big deal. It’s just that it’s so bright! I’ve used it as a light source. I do think it looks kinda cool lighting up. It’s too “loud” for something I’d like to carry around. The lights on the front light up bright, blue, and big when you vape it flashes when the device needs to be recharged. On the front and back of the device, what appears to be ventilation or airflow are actually indicator lights. A bit too early-90s for me, but it’s at least handy. It’s also equipped with a neon green ribbon-style lanyard. The colors are meant to evoke the particular flavors. It’s all white with neon-colored rubber that runs the contours before extending out into a mouthpiece. The Hyppe Max Air 5000 is an interesting looking disposable. Price: $15.99 (at Element Vape) Flavors: Black sakura, caramel ice cream, cola freeze, lush freeze, mango freeze, mighty mint, naked (unflavored,) sour peach, peach freeze, strawberry freeze, strawberry sky, summer fruit, berry lemon ice, strawberry mango. Let’s dive in to learn more about the Hyppe Max Air 5000 and see how it performs. The “5000” style disposable is a hot niche right now, popularized by the Elf Bar. I still recommend thinking of this as an MTL draw though. It feels intentional and not just like the same effect from any other device. I thought the name was a bit misleading until I realized if you pull more forcefully, you can get more air than with a slow pull. Although it’s called “max air,” it’s got a native MTL draw. The Max Air 5000 is rated for up to 6500 puffs. It’s powered by a rechargeable 650 mAh battery with a Type-C connection. The device features a mesh coil and 13 mL of 5% nic salt juice in 14 flavor options. It looks like something meant for the beach.
